The theme of the album is growth, as echoed by the title. The listener is transported the listener to the rugged but beautiful land of North Wales and taken on a journey through the peaks and lakes in this unique landscape.

Bloom (Track length: 2.00): Classical and pure piece, this takes the listener on a journey and sets the scene and tone of the album. With a mix of clever instrumental choices that echo the feel of birds chirping or water flowing along with the choral sounds so native to North Wales, the listener is instantly transported to Snowdonia within the first few notes.

Rooted (Track length: 4.00): The core of the album and my favourite track. The crafted tune and beat flows like a slow walk or like a melting ice, signalling the spring. The lyrics echo a type of hiraeth and homecoming for this amazing young artist. She has also done this some in her mother tongue, Welsh and it is available to listen to on SoundCloud as “Dyffryn (Rooted)”.

Sunflower seeds (Track length: 3.26): This love song talks about the impact that her love has had on her. The slow pace connects to the overall idea of growth that underpins the album. We all need a supportive person in our lives and it sounds like Casi has found her’s. With melancholic violins, the mysterious romantic feel is unique.

One evening in April (Track length: 2.26): This song serves as a lovely interlude to the impending language change for the next song however it has its own identity and character as a track. Again, the listener has a feel of moving with in Casi’s story to another topic. The choral sounds are here to stay and the steady drums are more present in this track.

Aderyn (Track length: 2.17): This song is in Casi’s mother tongue of Welsh and is the last on the album. A lovely closing piece, the imagery of the bird flying free is a lovely one. Her collaboration with Côr Seiriol is a match made in heaven. All in all, this album is a masterpiece and Casi is one to watch in the Welsh Music scene.

The passion with which she sings about her home and feelings is unparalleled. Rating: 9/10

Thema’r albwm ydi tŵf, fel y sonnir yn y teitl. Caiff y gwrandäwr ei gludo i dir garw a phrydferth yng Ngogledd Cymru, ac yna ei gludo ar daith drwy’r copaon a llynnoedd yn y tirwedd unigryw hon.

Bloom (Hyd y trac: 2.00): Darn clasurol a phur, mae hyn yn mynd a’r gwrandäwr ar daith ac yn gosod golygfa a thôn yr albwm. Gyda chymysgedd o ddewisiadau offerynnol clyfar sy’n adleisio teimlad adar sy’n ymfudo, neu ddŵr yn llifo ynghyd â’r synau corawl mor frodorol i Ogledd Cymru, caiff y gwrandäwr ei gludo ar unwaith i Eryri yn y nodau cyntaf.

Rooted (Hyd y trac: 4.00): Craidd yr albwm a’m hoff drac i. Mae llif yr alaw a’r curiad crefftus fel taith gerdded araf neu fel iâ sy’n toddi, gan ddangos y gwanwyn. Mae’r geiriau’n adleisio math o hiraeth a thegwch i’r artist ifanc rhyfeddol hwn. Mae’r defnydd o’r Gymraeg yn y gân yn un bwerus i’w glywed. Gallwch wrando arno ar SoundCloud fel “Dyffryn (wedi’i Wreiddio)”.

Hadau blodyn yr haul (Hyd y trac: 3.26): Mae’r gân gariadus hon yn sôn am effaith ei gariad arni. Mae’r cyflymder araf yn cysylltu gyda’r syniad cyffredinol o dwf sy’n sail i’r albwm. Mae angen arnom i gyd berson cefnogol yn ein bywydau, ac mae’n swnio fel bod Casi wedi dod o hyd iddi. Gyda ffidlau melancolaidd, mae’r teimlad rhamantaidd dirgel yn unigryw.

Un noson ym mis Ebrill (Hyd y trac: 2.26): Mae’r gân hon yn datblygu’n hyfryd i’r newid iaith sydd ar fin digwydd ar gyfer y gân nesaf, fodd bynnag mae ganddi ei hunaniaeth a’i chymeriad ei hun fel trac. Unwaith eto, mae gan y gwrandäwr deimlad o symudiad gyda phwnc arall yn stori Casi. Mae’r synau corawl yma i aros ac mae’r drymiau cyson yn fwy amlwg yn y trac hwn.

Aderyn (Hyd y trac: 2.17): Mae’n amlwg fod Casi’n gwerthfawrogi ei Mamiaith, gan fod Casi wedi neilltuo’r gân olaf i’r Gymraeg, darn sy’n cau’r albwm yn hyfryd. Mae delwedd yr aderyn sy’n hedfan yn y gân yn un hyfryd. Mae ei chydweithrediad â Chôr Seiriol yn gêm a wnaed yn y Nefoedd.

Ar y cyfan, mae’r albwm yn gampwaith, ac mae Casi’n un i gadw llygaid arni ym Myd Cerddoriaeth Gymreig. Mae’r ymdeimlad o angerdd yn ei chaneuon am ei chartref a’i theimladau yn ddigyffelyb.
